The Fisherman’s Path along the sheltered coast of Brodick Bay was a gentle stroll by calm water today. Tomorrow, weather permitting, we’re planning to head up into the wilder, hill country of Goat Fell – the conical mountain on the skyline.

The top one is a lovely photo and a brilliant example of how stopping down to a small aperture can give a depth of field that allows elements in the foreground, middle distance and far away to all be pretty much in focus at the same time. Impressive!

To be honest, this was one of my first photos with a new camera and I just used the standard settings for ‘landscape’!
