This mural has a touch of magic, or at least stardust, about it. I don’t know whether there’s a story behind it. The work is a cooperation between street artist Alex and calligrapher Nezim (or Neziiim). It covers the facade, and doors, of Bi-Contitental Garage, a car repair shop in the Menilmontant quartier of the 20th arrondissement.
I can’t find out what the calligraphy says, or even what language it is in. Is the woman completing the circle, or bringing the words to life with a twist of her fingers?
There’s nothing so mysterious through the open doorway. It looks like a practical, workshop for down to earth repairs, though the garage also hosts occasional art exhibitions. That’s a little out of the ordinary.
