Fragile almond blossom against a flat white sky. Heavy rain was forecast but, after a wet start, the day soon settled down to unbroken cloud and occasional drizzle. The cloud held in the city’s warmth so it was a mild day. Not cold, not sunny, not wet but not quite dry, not really winter but not yet spring. It’s that season in between.
These almond trees were in bloom yesterday in the garden of the Musée de Montmartre.
