Tucked away behind a long, blank wall on a side street, Marché Jules Vallès might once have been in danger of being overlooked. Although this is one of the smaller markets among the fourteen open and covered sites that make up the huge Marché aux Puces de St Ouen, it’s now hard to overlook the entrance door framed by this eye-catching mural.
The collaborative project involved at least six artists. The two striking portraits are by Alex.
The little creatures with paint rollers are by Meushay.
I couldn’t find a credit for this bit.
According to their web page the traders in Marché Jules Vallès ‘will try everything not to be forgotten’. With that aim in view, commissioning this mural was a good move.
