A cold, sunny Sunday morning in the Jardin du Luxembourg. Garden chairs in a chaotic clutter (singles, couples, small huddles and expansive groups) map the social interactions of a mild Saturday afternoon.
Visitors are free to move the chairs around the garden paths, though the lawns are off limits. In summer the chairs spread out in the shade and sun as each person chooses their preferred aspect. On a bright but cool autumn afternoon there’s general agreement that the places where the low sun reaches between the trees are best.
A post for Mundane Monday with a touch of Chaos.

I love the chairs, benches and seats of Paris. So much more stylish than the typical British wooden bench.

I can’t think of many British parks where the public would be trusted to move the chairs around where they wanted.

I can’t think of any, unless the chairs were overseen by a cafe or something.

in the second one, the chairs appear to have gathered together on their own accord to enjoy an autumn day. 🙂

There’s something about the chairs that suggests they could rearrange themselves if they wanted to!

Have you thought about making it monochromatic? Maybe it look more dramatic that way. Just a thought. Nice observation.

An interesting idea, thanks. I’ve tried converting the first chair picture to monochrome and it does bring out the shapes more, though it loses the autumn colour.
