On a corner site, curves help a massive glass walled building to blend into the streetscape.
The Opera Bastille building, opened in 1989, looks better from a distance (or from inside) than it does from the pavements alongside. The grey concrete and blank side walls offer little interest to the passerby but the curved glass wall of the corner facade lightens the building and leads your gaze skywards.

I love this reflective view of Paris. It’s a wonderful way to show a different side of a well known city
