Spring sunshine and squalls of hail. Blue sky and black clouds. In the open skies over the mouth of the River Tweed the advancing line of dark clouds briefly covers the horizon, leaving a pale, washed blue behind.

This is definitely east coast weather, not the solid rain you were enjoying in Penrith.
