The climbing rose has responded to drastic pruning by sending out long, flexible shoots.



Scattered clusters of startlingly red flowers look as though they’ve been tied to the railings like Christmas decorations.



The window box fuchsias are flowering so prolifically they’ve hardly had time to grow.



Meanwhile the white geraniums in the window ledge boxes seem to have reached a happy compromise: a scattering of open flowers, lots of buds and plenty of fresh green growth too. Caught by sunlight filtering through the cherry tree they light up the green view.
