A gentle ride for a warm day, along the meandering course of the River Meuse from Nouzonville to Haybes. At the end of this green and pleasant section of the Voie Verte Trans Ardennes we took the lazy option of returning to our starting point by train.

Sadly the valley is calm because most of the local steel works have closed and unemployment is over 50%. Beautiful, yes, but at a price.
