Problem or benefit? When you’re trying to take a picture of a grand building, spectacular mural or attractive door the passersby who stride, run, pedal or scoot into your field of view are likely to be out of focus. The fuzzy human extra might ruin the photo or they might just improve it, depending on your point of view.
The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge Focus has given me an excuse to search out some favourites among my photos with added passersby. Some of these images were deliberate – I’d waited for a likely pedestrian or cyclist to pass – but others are simply fortuitous. Can you tell which are which?

Great images! All carefully contrived I’m sure.

Half of them are pure good fortune or snatching the moment in passing!

Improvement – I have share my thoughts with you on this before. I think images can have a tendency to be sterile – I often feel that about my street art pictures. Often I will include people or ‘street furniture’ in my images to bring them to life…but not always.

Nice photos.
Sometimes the passing person, animal, or vehicle is a lucky accident. Other times I’m waiting for them.

Definitely an improvement. Frankly, I don’t care whether you waited or it was a coincidence. 🙂 The effect is achieved. I especially like the last one.
