And two chestnut police horses catching the sun as they mingle with pedestrians and cyclists on the new riverside promenade.
The promenade is the former Georges Pompidou Expressway, now closed to all traffic apart from transports doux – soft or gentle transport. In Paris this means not only pedestrians and cyclists but also skaters and skate boarders, hoverboards, gyropodes and trotinettes plus the occasional horse or two.
