It’s a confusing season in Barcelona. First thing this morning I was wondering whether to wear my winter coat and at one o’clock I was cooling my feet in the sea, glad I’d left my coat behind.
People on the promenade were wrapped up in coats and scarfs against the chilly wind while down on the beach others were basking in the warm sunshine.
This cyclist in her quilted jacket and woolly hat was watching someone swimming in the sea (without a wetsuit). They were both well dressed for this strange late November.

Lucky you still to be in Barcelona. I was there at the weekend. But then, I’d come from Valencia, where the weather was even balmier.

My other half has a few days of meetings here and I’m enjoying discovering Barcelona for the first time. There’s a lot to explore!

There certainly is. I’m sure you won’t, but in no circumstances leave out Sant Pau: https://www.santpaubarcelona.org/ It’s not quite on the ‘must see’ agenda yet, so catch it while it’s still uncrowded!

Thanks for your recommendation and the link. I’ve seen the impressive exterior of Sant Pau but I think a full visit will have to wait until another trip.
