For the last five days I’ve been posting pictures of sunny Barcelona as a distraction from the fact that Paris is cold, damp and cloudy. It’s not actually raining but the clouds are hanging so low that the top of the Montparnasse Tower is lost in the mist. I guess the same is true of the Eiffel Tower though I’ve not been that way this week.
The Jardin du Luxembourg is a good place for a brisk winter walk but now the autumn leaves have fallen, the boating pond has been been drained and most of the chairs have been stacked away the overall scene is damp, grey and rather empty. Looking closer there are still plenty of interesting details in glossy green, rust brown, faded blue and even persimmon orange.

I love your collection of details and how they rhyme with their floral patterns. I love the collector’s eye 🙂

Great details and thanks for teaching me that persimmon equals kaki. 😀
