A still, misty morning on the cliff top path.

 

 

The sea is loud on the rocks below but the waves are invisible in the pearly grey haze.

 

 

It’s low tide and down on Cocklawburn beach rippled sand stretches towards an unseen horizon.  Figures appear briefly in the distance then vanish as the mist rolls over again.

 

 

The mist thins, separates into ragged clouds and seems to settle, leaving blue sky above. Then the last remnants of mist drift away revealing the wide sweep of the beach and the far horizon.
