A brisk, windy walk on Spittal beach at low tide this morning.
Distant dog walkers wave greetings across acres of wind-swept sand.
The north-easterly wind drives skittering bubbles along the shallows….
and stirs rock pools into miniature waves.
Turning back into the wind, as the cold drizzle turns to hail, the village looks a long way away.
This week the Lens-Artists Challenge 90 is Distance, an appropriate theme for a low tide walk whatever the weather.

Beautiful beach images – love especially the rock pools. Walks do help my mood.

What a beautiful beach – how sad to see it so empty. Wonderful images – thanks for joining us!

Thank you, Tina. It was very cold on the beach this morning so the lack of people wasn’t entirely due to social distancing!

My previous response won’t have made much sense as I thought you were commenting on Ripples and Rocks! Thank you for your kind comment.
