It was a full moon last night so this afternoon’s high tide reached right to the sea wall. Towards evening, as the tide started to fall, the low sun cast striped shadows from the prom railings on pristine, sea-washed sand.
Looking south, the shadows of the railings are interrupted by a flight of steps.
The falling tide reveals smooth sand unmarked by footprints.
Looking north, a sea spray haze obscures the distant view of Berwick.
The gathering clouds are a welcome sight. It’s been a gloriously sunny day but we could really do with some rain tonight!
