A strong north-easterly wind has been blowing all day, whipping the waves into surf. In a sheltered corner of our garden the sun felt quite warm but out on the cliff path, buffetted by the wind, the day felt more March than May. Beautiful but cold.
This is the view (familiar to regular readers) north along Spittal beach towards Berwick.

Certainly wind blown and yes, sometimes at low tide you get sand-blasted too!
