The bees and other pollinators have plenty of flowers to choose from in the garden now.
Today the garden bumblebees were working their way round the foxgloves. Some seemed to favour the pink flowers while others went from one white spike to the next. I didn’t manage to take any photos of either group as they disappeared out of sight into the depths of the flowers.
The small, ginger carder bees were only interested in the nepeta (or cat mint) flowers. Just a sip from each tiny flower before buzzing on to the next.

Thank you, Alison. Our garden here is blessed with a wide variety of bees. I’ve rescued at least five different species from the inside of the bathroom window!
