2020 Photo Challenge #29 this week invites us to increase the sense of drama in an image by increasing negative (or empty) space. The wheat field certainly isn’t empty but the uniform pattern of the crop encourages your eye to travel over it, towards that thin, blue line.

As I now live near a vast expanse of sand, sea and sky, a sense of space is the subject of many of my photos. Here are three favourites for a second time around.
