The solid head of this Brunswick cabbage is held in a wide bowl of waxy, blue-green leaves.
The leaves of the Greyhound cabbages curl protectively around their pointed head. Backlit by the sun the pale veins glow a bright, lime green.
Sprout plants behind and another cabbage in front; a study in shades of cabbage leaf green.
Jude’s 2020 Photo Challenge for August is Colour Theory; this week ‘a monochromatic scene consisting of varying shades of a single colour.’
The three cabbage photos were taken this week. Here, for a little variety, are some more shades of leaf green from earlier posts.

Who knew cabbages could provide such interesting images? You’re well provided for this winter!

Love your greens. Green is such an underrated colour and who knew there are so many shades in a cabbage!

Thanks, Jude. And thanks for the prompt that made me look closer at the cabbages!

I’ve got in close on stone greys this week but the pingback and comments on your challenge post for the week don’t seem to be working. Maybe my problem rather than yours. Best wishes, Judith
