Apple trees aren’t renown for their autumn colour but on a sunny November morning a few trees stand out from their orchard neighbours.  The broad leaves of Scotch Bridget are a rich yellow, Sunset shows the golden autumn tints its name suggests and on Discovery a few bright red leaves catch the light on the topmost twigs.
