Low tide on Spittal beach, not long before sunset. The clouds cleared after a heavy shower, leaving a pale blue, rain-washed sky.
I could have reused an old photo but it wouldn’t have been quite the same. Sometimes the falling tide leaves the beach completely smooth and flat. More often the sand is rippled, dimpled or ridged, never the same twice. This particular pattern is just for today.
There’s always something new to see. Click for a closer view.
