maple Passage de l'ancre      petal light

The photos on this blog started out as illustrations to the words but they are starting to take over.  Most of the images still demand a few lines of explanation or introduction but some have to speak for themselves.  The contrast between the bronze maple leaves and the teal green paint, or the way that the purple clematis petals tint the light falling on the white wall, simply caught my eye and made me smile.  That’s all there is to say.

With the exception of a few historic photos or images of paintings, credited as appropriate, all the photos on this blog are my own and copyright as such.

Most of the photos have been taken within a couple of days of the date of the post, all within ten days unless otherwise described.  Each new image reflects, more of less, the current season and weather, in Paris unless otherwise specified.
