Street art in Butte-aux-Cailles covers the full range from discreetly subtle to messily vibrant.  A few walls are established as free for all spaces, layered in ever changing images.  Others are carefully resprayed from time to time with semi-official projects.  Many small, imaginative pieces in chalk, stencil, paste-up or ink add quirky surprises to the street scene.  Here’s a selection, spotted on a walk through the quartier yesterday.
