Central Paris isn’t the obvious place to look for native wild flowers but there’s a surprising variety to be found.  Some are self sown and are overlooked or welcomed, others are deliberately planted to enhance biodiversity.  Waterside planting of native species in the new Parc Martin Luther King is as eye catching as any ornamental flower bed and in summer the stony track-bed of the disused Petite Ceinture  railway is bright with colourful wildflowers.
