Hazy sunlight floods through the domed glass roof, striping the platforms with bars of shadow.

 

 

In the new concourse the central fanlight echoes the semi-circular arch of the train shed vault.   Sunlight seems to cascade down the steel mesh of the supporting structure, highlighting the details of the old station wall.

 

 

I was passing through Kings Cross station today with half an hour to spare.  I’ve taken (and posted) photos of this station before but the view changes with changing light and each visit offers new images.
