After another day of misty drizzle the garden flowers are thoroughly wet.
Some, like this Lark Ascending rose, are relatively weather-proof, others hang their heads under the weight of accumulated water droplets.
As the open flowers of the Autumn Delight rose soak up the rain their petals turn to a delicate network of translucent cells, fragile but fleetingly beautiful.
Two photos for the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #101 – One Single Flower.

The Autumn Delight rose seems inappropriately named as it always starts flowering in June.

The white one is especially lovely with the skeleton effect.
