The clouds towering above Berwick this afternoon had the bulk and character of a storybook land in the sky. The low sun picked out details of the buildings clustered round the bridge and old quay but it’s the sunlit clouds, reflected in still water, that dominate the picture.
Looking back over five years’ photos, I’ve found lots of images where clouds take centre stage rather than blending into the background. Here’s a scrapbook collection.
Winter sky over the Seine – January 2016
La Patrouille de France flies past Le Louvre – July 2016
Cloud reflections – Paris 13 – June 2016
Reflections at the Bibliotheque Nationale – March 2018
Cloud watching from an East Coast train – July 2016
A break in the clouds – July 2017
Cloud reflections on Spittal beach – July 2017
Changeable weather over the Tweed estuary – March 2018
The sun breaks through on the Black Isle – May 2019
After the Red Arrows – June 2020
New Year’s Day rainbow – January 2019

Lovely! You might want to know that I first opened your post on my phone, and the photos were unintelligible – all jumbled one on top of the other. I think I may suffer from the same problem, but I have no idea how to sort it out! However, this gallery looks great on my laptop!

Thanks for letting me know, Margaret. The gallery works on my Nokia phone which suggests it’s only compatible with some phone systems. I wonder if you can open posts through more than one kind of software on your phone, though that’s as far as my wondering can go!

You’re not talking to a techie Judith, and I don’t have a high-end phone. It’s Android, and it has given me problems- though not invariably – with looking at photos on other blogs too. Never mind, I prefer to look on my laptop – bigger images!
