It’s been another cold, grey day with a strong easterly wind, whipping up the drifts of sandy sea foam on the beach. A quick, circular walk – along the prom (hail stinging my left cheek) – up the hill – under the railway – up the hill again – down Cow Road (wind numbing my right cheek) – over the level crossing – down the hill – home. After that bracing excursion I was ready to return to the sunny tones of Jude’s latest colour challenge – Yellow.

Just what we need today, a nice burst of yellow. Cold here in Cardiff today as well, not quite grey but not much sun.

It started off rather lovely today, but clouded over by lunchtime and became dull and grey. Nice to hunt for yellows!

It’s been grey and windy here for most of a week, varying between rain, drizzle and light hail showers…. Still, I feel the lack of a walk if I don’t get out into the weather for a while.

I know what you mean. Fortunately I have managed to spend an hour or so in my garden this weekend, in between showers!
