The rain stopped today and the sky cleared but my camera decided to stop working so here, in place of some new state-of-the-garden photos, is a review of twelve months growing.
The headline photo shows the first row of fruit trees in December, leafless again after a season’s growth, with a string line marking where the next row will go. Eight new trees arrived this week on a day of driving rain. They are tucked up in a bed of damp straw waiting to get their roots in the ground. Spring and new growth are not that far away.
