Clear blue sky, reflected in the shallows, gives no clue of the season or temperature. In fact this is Spittal beach last January on a perfect day for a brisk, warming walk. In the absence of any new photos (as my camera has gone into hibernation) I’m continuing my collections of 2017 favourites. Here’s a selection of sea and sky views from Spittal, Berwick and Holy Island.

It’s a beautiful coast but not always so photogenic!

Beautiful! Amazing what all we can do without the camera. 😉 Or without the internet, for that matter. Still, I wish your camera a quick recovery. But I’ve noticed too that the only time I’m spurred into describing something is of a time when I happened to be without my camera.

Thank you, Manja. I enjoy your descriptions as well as your photos. I’ll be glad to get the camera back but words do have their advantages some times, like today when the weather is dark and drizzly…
