The riverside quays are a great place for a brisk winter walk or a gentle summer stroll. Boats and water birds animate the scene and open skies give distant views of local landmarks, forever changing with weather and the season. The local landmarks along the river Seine are world famous, unlike those along the river Tweed but water, wind and weather and the basic structures of bridges and quays find echoes between the two.
This week’s photo challenge Tour Guide asked ‘What do you love about where you live? Show us!’ As I currently go ‘home’ to both a studio flat in central Paris and a stone cottage in Berwick upon Tweed my take on where I live is a little confused.
