I haven’t caught a train since early March – a theatre trip south to Newcastle. As lockdown restrictions have gradually eased I’ve followed the evolving guidelines, wondering when I’ll be able to catch a train again. With two daughters living in Edinburgh, I hope to be on a north-bound train before long. Meanwhile Cee’s photo challenge, Anything to Do With Trains, has given me an excuse to relive past train journeys and revisit distant stations.

We miss trains on this side of the Atlantic too. Thanks for posting a good selection of photos.

I love train travel and one of the best ones was from London to Paris thru the Chunnel. It was a delightful ride and we got to see a lot of the countryside of both countries. So glad we did that.

Glad you got a chance to take the train from London to Paris. It’s a memorable journey – the photo from northern France in this selection doesn’t do it justice.

A lovely nostalgic selection, a few of which I remember from first time round.

I hope train journey pictures won’t feel like nostalgia for long!
